Mission:

The Hispanic Business Council (HBC) of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce (DRCC) seeks to reach out to Hispanic businesses and connect them with the larger community through Chamber programs and activities.

The HBC Provides:

  • Professional learning opportunities at each “Lunch and Learn” meeting on topics like: Small Business Financing in a Challenging Economy, Communications and Leadership, The Power of Hispanic Presence, Retirement Security, Creating Your Business Emergency Plan, and Growing Your Business Successfully.
  • Networking opportunities follow each “Lunch and Learn” meeting throughout the year, as well as alliances with other Hispanic business organizations;
  • Mentoring support from Council members who are experts in their field;
  • Recognition of outstanding individuals and organizations through the Lifetime Community Achievement Award.
  • Each year, our Hispanic Business Reception welcomes prominent business leaders, elected officials and non-profit/community partners to hear noted speakers and to savor the fabulous cuisine and entertainment emblematic of our Hispanic culture and community.

Committee History:

The Dulles Regional Chamber’s Hispanic Business Council was launched in 2005 as a Committee in an effort to broaden the Chamber’s membership by inviting Latino business owners to bring their talents into the chamber and to help their businesses grow. The astounding response to the new Committee was such that it was promoted by the Chamber to Council status in 2006.

Meeting Schedule:
First Thursday of each month from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Chamber’s Chantilly conference room.  Meeting starts promptly at 12:00 p.m. with welcome, Lunch and Learn” speaker.  A Council briefing to attendees begins at 12:45, followed by energized networking. Please refer to the events calendar to confirm meeting date and speaker/topic for upcoming “Hispanic Business Council Committee Meeting.”
