Constituencies We Serve
We serve the businesses in the Dulles Region, including the communities of Herndon, Chantilly, Centreville, South Riding, Sterling, Dulles and Ashburn. This region is known as a technology hub of national significance, especially in the areas of software and telecommunications. The Dulles Region, anchored by Washington Dulles International Airport, is the wealthiest, most educated area in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Founded in 1959, the Herndon Chamber began as a great cultural stimulus for the Town of Herndon, building its golf course and recreational center and establishing the Council for the Arts of Herndon. In 2000, after being asked to serve the growing community of businesses south of the town, the chamber changed its name to the Herndon Dulles Chamber. In 2006, the chamber took the name Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce, including within its scope two DBA chambers: the returning Herndon Chamber and the new Chantilly-Centreville Chamber.
The Herndon Chamber was founded in 1959 and remains a part of the Dulles Regional Chamber today. Serving the Town of Herndon, it provides networking opportunities to local businesses, serves as a business liaison with the Town Council and Mayor, and facilitates discussion of issues concerning town businesses. The chamber works closely with the community as it continues its support of Herndon schools as well as the summer concert series Friday Night Live!, the best free summer concert series in the Washington DC metro area according to the Washington Post.
The Chantilly-Centreville Chamber serves one of the fastest-growing areas in the country. It holds open meetings for businesses to share issues or concerns, hosts monthly networking events and works with the local government to positively affect business outcomes.
