We are honored that this will be Dr. Stofan’s first luncheon program in the Dulles Community since her appointment. Dr. Stofan was NASA’s Chief Scientist, where, among many other innovative projects, she helped develop a long-range plan to get humans to Mars. She supported NASA’s science programs in everything from astrophysics to Earth and planetary science and collaborated on science policy with the National Science and Technology Council and as President Barack Obama’s science advisor. She is the first female Director of the National Air and Space Museum.
The National Air and Space Museum symbolizes America’s technological contribution to mankind, just as the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island represent our cultural heritage. Dr. Stofan will bring us up-to-date on efforts to reimagine America’s favorite Museum (one Museum, two locations), and to further inform, educate, and inspire the next generation of innovators and explorers.
Tables and Head Table sponsorships are available by contacting Carol Welti at firstname.lastname@example.org. Table Hosts will receive recognition on signage, in the event program, and by the Master of Ceremonies.
