In the end, all politics is local. Within are the issues that most affect the daily lives of residents and employees in the Dulles Region. Roads were too long unaddressed and just recently we began to correct that neglect. Rail is the new kid on the block, having just opened a metro station in Reston and now proceeding with Phase II to Dulles Airport and beyond. Dulles Airport itself, the engine of Northern Virginia, has its issues as well and we follow those closely. These in turn affect our tourism and business travel, major sectors for our region. A critical need for our technology corridor is a well-trained workforce and we work with area high schools, veterans and others to strengthen our workforce capabilities.
