Today's #leadership quote

“You fail all the time, but you aren’t a failure until you start blaming someone else.” Bum Phillips

The most successful people in the world embrace failure as inevitable and understand that failure is just another step on the path to ultimate success. They accept the fact that failure is the way that they learn and are thus not afraid to take risks, knowing that even if they fail, they will be one step closer to ultimate triumph. Champions willingly accept accountability for their failures. They don't view failure in a negative light therefore there is no need to blame others . Instead they shoulder the responsibility for their actions and continue to move forward past that individual event toward their goals. For many the word failure has a negative connotation and the world is broken into a series of win-lose events. We are trained that every game has a winner and a loser and the scoreboard tells us which is which. In reality, however, you can come out on the losing end of the scoreboard and still emerge a winner depending upon how you react to the loss. Champions use that loss to grow and improve. They look inside themselves for the reason for defeat and follow a path of continuous improvement. Each of us get to choose our reaction. As a child we learn by trial and error and there is no shame in error. We learn to walk or ride a bike by falling until we learn balance. As we age we adopt limiting beliefs as a result of a fear of rejection or failure and that limits our capacity to grow. Choose to embrace failure and become a champion and a leader
