The committee consists of Chamber members, who meet every third Thursday of each month from 4PM to 5PM. The goal of the committee is to take steps to achieve tangible progress in inclusion and equity of minorities in business. The activities for the first year of the committee include listening from speakers in this space and understanding the breadth and depth of issues related to inclusion and equity to come up with actionable steps.
We envision that the mission and beliefs of the
Equity and Inclusion Committee resonate
all aspects of the DRCC culture
such that the committee, itself, need not exist.
In other words, we must end racism – lest the work be never ending.
