Joe Malazo joined Sandy Spring Bank in July 2017. His current position is Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of the Sterling Community Office. He is responsible for his team success in delivering “The Remarkable” customer relationships. He has over 20 years of experience in the banking and financial industry. During COVID-19, Joe took part in the Bank’s effort involving over 200 employees in processing over 4,900 Paycheck Protection Program loan applications for a total of $1.12 Billion to businesses with more than an estimated 106,000 employees. The Bank’s Foundation also donated $600,000 to local hospitals and healthcare providers in the fight against COVID-19. Lastly, the Bank has been named one of the Washington Post’s 2020 Top Workplace. This is the second consecutive year the Bank has earned this recognition.
