  Art, Science and Workforce Creativity Learn How it Connects at the Arts Education Panel Dr. Alexander Pantelyat and Noah Scalin Talk Art, Science and Workforce Creativity   Fairfax County, VAARTSFAIRFAX and Leadership Fairfax welcomes the community to the 2018 Arts Education Panel presentation of Dr. Alexander Pantelyat, M.D., an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Noah Scalin, founder of Another Limited Rebellion, on Tuesday, September 25th at 8:00am.  Beth Cabrera, Ph.D, George Mason University’s Senior Scholar at the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being and ARTSFAIRFAX Board of Directors Chair will moderate the discussion of art, science and the brain and how art affects workplace creativity in the Conference Center at 2070 Chain Bridge Road, Vienna, VAAdvance ticket purchase is recommended. The Arts Education Panel brings together business and community leaders and arts educators for an in-depth and engaging look at how the business and art world interconnect. Dr. Cabrera will moderate as Dr. Pantelyat and Mr. Scalin explore how art affects brain activity and how this information can be used to develop a creative and innovative classroom and workforce for the 21st century. About The Panel Dr. Pantelyat completed his medical training at Temple University School of Medicine and his neurology residency and movement disorder fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and is board certified in neurology.  He is the co-founder of the Johns Hopkins Center for Music and Medicine, an initiative that provides cutting-edge multidisciplinary clinical care for musicians and research on music-based interventions for non-musicians.   Mr. Scalin is an artist, author, activist and founder of Another Limited Rebellion, an art and innovation consultancy.  He launched Another Limited Rebellion with the idea that he could make a living doing what he loved and effect positive change in the world. Today, he brings his message of creative practice to everyone from incarcerated teenagers to Fortune 500 executives. In 2016, Mr. Scalin was chosen as the first ever artist-in-residence at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Business and was named the "The Region's Most Creative Individual" by Richmond magazine in 2017.   Dr. Cabrera is a George Mason University Center for Advancement of Well-Being Senior Scholar and the founder of Cabrera Insights.  She is serving her second year as the ARTSFAIRFAX Board of Directors Chair.  Dr. Cabrera has built a career around her passion of helping organizations and individuals apply knowledge from the field of positive psychology to achieve greater success and well-being. You can hear more from Dr. Cabrera by listening to her “Fear Not” podcast.     Arts Education Panel Information The Arts Education Panel is sponsored in conjunction with ARTSFAIRFAX’s Teaching Artist Professional Development Seminar held September 25 through September 28.  This seminar is open to artists interested in providing unique arts education programs to Fairfax County Public School students. Additional information on how to register for this seminar can be found at ARTSFAIRFAX.
