Dulles, VA – The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce has announced their new incoming President for 2023 as C. Melissa McKenna. McKenna assumes her new duties on January 17, 2023.

McKenna comes from a dynamic sales and management environment with over 20 years of experience leading people and improving processes within organizations. She recently comes from Palantir as an Account Director. She is the current Chair of the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) and has called Herndon home since 2002.

“Having called western Fairfax County home since 1983, I am thrilled to come on board in this role with the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce.  The infrastructure, innovation and community that exists here are the perfect formula for growth. I look forward to working with the Chamber, elected leaders, and our growing business community in continuing to realize the full potential that the Dulles Region affords.”

McKenna is welcomed by the new Board of Directors who were voted into Chamber office in December 2022. The 2023 Dulles Chamber Executive Committee and Board of Director are:

The Chamber is saying goodbye to its former President, John P. Boylan, an Air Force veteran with a background in defense and technology industries. “It's been an honor to lead this great chamber,” Boylan said. “While proud of the many programs and events that were built on our core principles of commerce, community, and connections, I was humbled to be able to help people and build lasting relationships. The Chamber is in great hands with the new Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and especially the new President & CEO, C. Melissa McKenna.”

 

The Dulles Regional Chamber currently hosts over 500 members with a 95% membership retention rate. The Chamber hosted over 200 member and prospective member events in 2022, with highlights being monthly Metro Mondays, the Stars Over Dulles Awards Gala, the Friday Night Live series, Hispanic Business Council Reception, Innovate Workforce Conference, and more.
