Dulles, Virginia -- The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Innovate Conference on Wednesday, August 31, at 8:00am. This year’s topic; Preparing for Tomorrow’s Workforce Today.

 

The Dulles Chamber is focused on the region’s workforce as we build the economic engine of the future with a leading international airport, new metro expansion, and non-stop new business growth. During the post-pandemic phase, the Chamber is making it their goal to provide solutions and resources to the surrounding Dulles region so they can return even stronger. 

 

The Chamber believes businesses, non-profits, and local government should be involved in understanding the community’s challenges and working together to provide innovative insights into how to better serve the region’s business environment. The President of the Chamber, John P. Boylan said, "The focus on workforce is a result of our Board of Directors raising key concerns on housing and transportation. We couldn't run the event without the support of these community leaders, especially the title sponsor, Aeronautical Systems Inc (ASI) and their CEO, Felipe Rodriquez."

 

The Innovate Conference was hosted at the Crowne Plaza Dulles Airport hotel in Herndon, VA, and attendees heard from three panel sessions on STEM, Healthcare, and Technology & Trades.

 

The panel sessions contained a lineup of speakers from the leadership of Loudoun and Fairfax County Economic Development, StoneSprings Hospital Center, Northern Virginia Community College, and other senior leaders in business, technology, engineering, and education.
